Wi-Fi

Capilano University provides wireless internet (Wi-Fi) access to students while on campus or when visiting other education institutions.

CapU-Student

CapU-Student is our primary student wireless network which allows students on campus access to Capilano University resources on laptops, phones and tablets.

 

CapU-Student on Android Devices

  1. Go to the Settings on your Android device and click Wi-Fi. 
  2. Click CapU-Student.
  3. Fill out the Username and Password fields and click CONNECT. 
  4. Username: Your Capilano University email address
    Password: Your Capilano University password 
  5. Your Android device is now connected to the CapU-Student wireless network. 

 

CapU-Student on iPhone & iPad

  1. Go to the Settings on your iPhone or iPad and click Wi-Fi.
  2. Click CapU-Student.
  3. Type your username and password and click Join.

    Username: Your Capilano University email address
    Password: Your Capilano University password 
  4. Review the CapU-Student certificate and click Trust. 
  5. Your iPhone or iPad is now connected to the CapU-Student wireless network. 

 

CapU-Student on Mac

  1. Click the Wi-Fi icon on the top-right corner of the screen and select CapU-Student. 
  2. On the next screen fill out the Username and Password fields and click Join.

    Mode: Automatic
    Username: Your Capilano University email address
    Password: Your Capilano University password 
  3. Your Mac will prompt you to review the certificate. You can do so by clicking Show Certificate. Once you are done, click Continue. 
  4. Type your Mac computer password (not your Capilano University password) in the Password field and click Update Settings. 
  5. Your Mac is now connected to the CapU-Student wireless network. 

 

CapU-Student on PC

  1. Click the Wi-Fi icon on the bottom-right corner of the screen and select CapU-Student.
  2. Ensure that there is a checkmark next to Connect automatically and click Connect. 
  3. On the next screen fill out the Username and Password fields and click OK.

    Username: Your Capilano University email address
    Password: Your Capilano University password

     
  4. Your computer will prompt you to review the certificate. You can do so by clicking Details. Once you are done, click Connect.
  5. Your computer is now connected to the CapU-Student wireless network.
